Photograph caption dated March 10, 1955 reads, "Drs. George N. Thompson, right, and George M. Campion, both of Sherman Oaks, look over newly installed electreencephalograph [sic] at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank. Device, which does for brain what electrocardiograph does for heart, is believed to be only one in Valley hospitals, [sic] Machine enables specialists to locate brain lesions and frequently to determine causes by means of electrodes attached to scalp."
