Description
Original photograph is stained.
Photograph caption date stamped May 11, 1957 reads, "Reseda High's sensational 10th grader, Gary Comer, hits the tape first in grueling 440 yesterday in 50.3 for a new Valley League mark at Van Nuys High. Wendy Monello of North Hollywood is seen a step behind the powerful Regent. Monello set a new mark last week of 50.5, but it was Comer, the 'come through' kid, yesterday. The Huskies captured the team title before 5,000 fans in an afternoon featured by great performances."
