Image of a full-length portrait of American Civil War Union Navy Flag Officer Louis M. Goldsborough (later promoted to admiral) standing on a ship deck in military uniform with hat in outstretched left hand and right hand resting on the pommel of the sword at his hip.
Date supplied by cataloger based on dates of American Civil War and Goldsborough's indicated rank; he was promoted to rear admiral in 1862. "Lith & published by Ehrgott Forbriger & Co. Cin."--text, bottom left margin.
