Photograph caption dated January 3, 1957 reads, "Optimist Scout Wins Eagle Award -- George Haller, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Haller, 8420 Cozycroft Ave., Canoga Park, is shown during Valley Plaza ceremonies in which he received Eagle Scout medal from Cal Detwiller of Plaza Optimist Club. Flanking them at left are the Scout's granparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weber of Bloomfield, N.J. His parents stand at right. Eagle rating is highest obtainable in Boy Scout program. He was first from Post 128 to receive distinction."
