Penney Co. store when it opens Feb. 5 in Valley Plaza was assured by a group of leading Valley Plaza merchants who gathered this week to break bread with Ralph Hanson, manager of the new Penney unit. The occasion was a luncheon party at Wild Goose restaurant. Those present, left to right above, were: Frank Granato, Weatherby-Kayser Shoes; John Mortara, Bank of America; Norman Caldwell, May Company Valley; John Hawkins, Sears Roebuck, and the guest of honor, Ralph Hanson of J. C. Penney Co." The restaurant is located at 13302 Ventura Blvd.
