Charles Handy thought for the day on how too much technology can make workers lose the human touch in their organizations. Handy begins the article discussing the Baring's Bank fiasco and how so many people there could trust the bank to carry out its duties with so much risk. He proceeds to highlight how certain technology, such as e-mail, is creating too much distance among people, and how people need more opportunities to interact and touch in order to truly be human. Handy then comments on how Christianity prescribes that people do have contact with one another in order to arrive at the essence of God, truth, and purpose.
