San Fernando Valley State College later became California State University, Northridge. Photograph caption dated May 11, 1963 reads, "San Fernando Valley State College's art-in-education exhibit apparently pleases Mrs. Lucille Beeler of Sepulveda, left. William Kasza, center, and Mrs. Thelma Johnson of Chatsworth, Mrs. Beeler and Mrs. Johnson are students at Valley State studying to be art teachers, and have both contributed works to the exhibit. Kasza is an art coach at the college. The exhibit runs through May 17, and includes works from Northern and Southern California elementary, junior high, high school and college students. The gallery, located in the Fine Arts Building at the college, is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evenings."
