Description: Olympic track star Kathy Hammond (of Carmichael) signs an autograph for a State Department of Education employee. Attending the reception was State Superintendent of Public Instruction Wilson Riles. The reception for Miss Hammond, a silver and bronze medal winner at the Munich Olympics, was given by her mother, Mrs. Marilee Hammond, and other state employees.
