Photograph caption dated August 16, 1950 reads "L. W. Van Aken, left, presents Lt. Chet Wolfrum and Capt. Maurice Calfee of Sepulveda, head of police department's accident investigation division, certificates entitling them to attend Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. , traffic institute, from Sept. 7 to Jan. 25, 1951. Capt Calfee, his wife, Blanche, and son, Richard, Van Nuys High School student, live at 9239 Aqueduct Ave." Los Angeles Mayor Fletcher Bowron is on the far left.
