Front and center planted in a lawn on the side of a path stands the century plant; at the base of the tree on the left stand two women; the one nearest the plant points to the top of the plant; she carries a purse; at her side stands another woman in a stripped dress looking up; behind the women stands a wall of shrubs that are as high as the middle of the plant; to the right of the century tree is a fence; and behind is part of a house; an arched opening can be seen on the right of the house; above the house is a decorative wrought-iron fence; above the house and to the left of the decorative fencing a windmill projects into the sky
"It means death to the plant." "(about 25 years old)" -- handwritten.
