Description: Exterior view of El Cortez Hotel located at the northeast corner of 7th and Ash, in San Diego, Calif. View shows the ornate arched entrance located between the Cafe Cortez and the Pacific Room. Hotel is a concrete cast building with Spanish colonial revival details. Note the architectural designs on the roofline. Date built: 1927. Architects: Albert R. Walker and Percy Eisen.
