Photograph article dated November 16, 1963 partially reads, "Meet Lulu Belle, the dog with a bank account. She's been shot at, written about, arrested and consulted in business matters. She's 16 years old, black and gray-white, and a familiar sight in downtown Sherman Oaks. Most of the merchants and regular customers know her. And she knows and loves all the cats, kittens and children for blocks around. And Lulu does the hula! A friend, a registered nurse, taught her to walk with a wicked waggle, her big brown eyes at the other end searching for the edible reward."
