Photograph caption dated May 23, 1944 reads, "Abe "Kid Twist" Reles, key witness in the Brooklyn Murder Inc., case, is shown in center conferring today with United States Attorney William Fleet Palmer, at right, and Assistant United States Attorney Attilio Di Giralamo at left. Reles was brought here from New York secretly for the hearing on the complaint asking the removal to Brooklyn of Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, who is accused in New York of harboring Louis "Lepke" Buchalter, racketeer. Siegel says he knows nothing about the case and is fighting removal."
