Description
Howard Seefred's assorted correspondence and ephemera. Includes: 1) QSL card from Central Radio Club, Prague, Czechoslovakia, dated September 1964 (See 198.70) (attached) 2) Wireless Association of Pasadena, Station No. 12, Call Letter DWA, card circa 1911 3) Notice from the American Radio Relay League dated 3 December 1918, warning of impending legislation which will wipe Amateur Wireless "completely out." 4) Reference for C. J. Seefred from The Times-Mirror Co., Los Angeles 5) Letter from the Navy Department to Senator James Phelan (California), signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt, dated 3 September 1919, "With reference to your letter of August 22, 1919, enclosing a letter regarding the restrictions of amateur radio operations, I beg to inform you that, all restrictions on amateur wireless operations will be removed as soon as the President declares that a state of peace exists." Phelan had received a letter from Seefred and written to Roosevelt on his behalf. 6) Personal note to Ronny (likely Ronald Seefred) from Joann Seefred hoping his tooth feels better, undated. 7) American Radio Relay League membership card issued to Seefred Bros. good until December 31, 1917 8) Blank Station 6EA QSL card 9) "A Plea for Amateur Wireless," December 1918, by Hiram Percy Maxim, President, American Radio Relay League 10) Letter to Ronald Seefred from the Ray Meyers, American Radio Relay League, dated 28 November 1964, regarding a condenser for Fred Elser, W6FB. 11) Blueprint of the Henry Radio Phone, Los Angeles California, November 1913, signed R. E. Henry, LAHS.
