Description
“Street View, Lahore City.” View of city street in Lahore, with shop stalls and people walking about. Lahore, the largest city in Punjab province, was nevertheless not one of the nine principal mission stations. It was, however, the location of a significant British Army fort. It was to this fort in Lahore that Thomas Hunter, the first missionary in Punjab, attempted to flee when he was killed with his family during the Indian Mutiny [First War of Independence].
