Description
A gentleman wears the costume of the court of Louis XIII. He wears a pointed-brimmed, gray hat with blue and white feathers. He wears a wide white collar, edged with point edged lace that covers part of his shoulders. His coat and breeches are cornflower blue with gold trim edging the sleeve openings, the front jacket opening, and the sides of the breeches. He wears a cape over one shoulder, also blue with gold trimming the front and hem. Under his coat he wears a white shirt with full sleeves gathered into lace cuffs that match the collar. He wears a wide gold strap over his shoulder, from which he hangs his sword. The breeches are trimmed at the knee with a double ruffle of white lace. He wears white stockings and high heeled black shoes with gold rosettes on them. He stands in front of a low white balustrade, with trees visible behind.
