Description: "Spedalskekirken paa Ambohipiantrana" ("The church for leprous in Ambohipiantrana"). An exterior view where the congregation is gathered outside the church building.
Thorkild Rosaas was a missionary from 1869-1907. He was the founder of the home for the leprous in Ambohipiantrana 1887 and managed it until 1907. The leprosy home was used until 1916 when they moved from Ambohipiantrana to Mangarano. See A13Ma-570 and A13Ma-571.
