The barrel shaped building at center-left (next to the white building) is The Idle Hour Cafe, located at 4824 Vineland Ave. The redwood barrel was commissioned in 1941 by Universal Studios film tech Michael D. Connolly and built by Silver Lake engineer George F. Fordyk.
