The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003. Looking south across Sunset Boulevard from the corner of North Wetherly Drive in the Sunset Strip district of West Hollywood. Three storefronts are shown, including Scandia, a former restaurant at 9040 Sunset Boulevard, that served Scandinavian cuisine to a wealthy clientele. Above the stores is a large billboard advertising Vanity Fair. Photo dated: March 1995.
