A view of the school run by the Sisters of Charity.
Title from verso. Additional text reads, "First school building in Los Angeles. Material was shipped around the Horn in a sailing vessel and located at Alameda and Macy Streets. The school was conducted by the Sisters of Charity and this view was drawn by one of the pupils in 1856. This is a photographic copy of a painting.
