The Matador Booster Club was formed to support San Fernando Valley State College. San Fernando Valley State College is now California State University, Northridge.
Photograph caption dated February 10, 1965 reads "Preparing for the Matador Booster Clubs banquet at The Oak Room in Encino Feb. 18 are, from left, Joe Anthony, chairman for fund project in which a Mustang car to be given away that night to provide funds for Valley State College's athletic grants-in-aid; actor Frank Wilcox, honorary mayor of Granada Hills, and Dr. Glenn Arnett, Valley State athletic director."
