Photograph caption dated September 11, 1954 reads, "Maurice Zam, left, concert pianist, admires Grotrian-Steinweg grand piano he imported from Germany, while wife, center, and ballerina Carleen Stanley look on. Piano weighs 1,500 pound and is nine feet two inches in length. Owner claims it is costliest piano in world."
