Charles Handy thought for the day on uncovering meaning in life beyond one's responsibilities. Handy begins the article discussing his time spent rejuvenating at Hyde Park, and how his time spent there made him realize that the era in which he lives is very different from the one that he recalls from decades ago, yet, in some respects, remains the same. He proceeds to observe that modern life has a way of making one become less in tune with life and forgetting the 'heart of the matter,' and how he believes that there is some other point to his life, even if he continues struggling to find it out. Handy then identifies love - and making things better for one's loved ones - as having something to do with life's meaning.
