Description
A photograph of a Sacramento, California produce market in the early 1900s. Men stand next to hand trucks loaded with wooden produce boxes. Other men sit in Model T delivery trucks. The Sacramento Growers Market was Japanese American owned and operated and acted as a selling agency for Japanese American farmer's produce. Collection consists of drafts and notes for narratives on Asian Americans, photographs, exhibit items, artifacts, publications, and audio and visual material accumulated by Wayne H. Maeda, instructor and founding member of Asian American Studies at Sacramento State.
