This is side b of tape 4, from day one, of Drucker’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation course. For the majority of the recording, Drucker discusses the secret of performance. In order to perform well, one must first know their strengths. Drucker advises that people think about the key activities in their work and life. Whenever they do one of these activities, they should write down what they expect, and in nine months evaluate. People often find that they underrate their strengths because the strengths come easily to them. Second, determine what the situation demands, which are often dictated by a job description or the needs of an organization. Set limits. Third, know the culture, value system, and expectations of an organization.
