Photograph caption dated August 13, 1957 reads "Little Wendy gives words of advice she has learned from six months' racing at four Valley quarter midget racing tracks to brother Jimmy as he makes ready to power down imaginary track in finished product. Wendy recently picked up trophy as tall as she for being best driver of day at Devonshire Downs. Cars are capable of 19 miles per hour on one-twentieth of mile track, or 35 miles per hour on straightaway." Quarter midget racing cars, one quarter the size of Indianapolis racers, are produced in North Hollywood by Clay Claycamp, owner of Speedway Manufacturing Company, 11111 Chandler Boulevard.
