Aerial view of the Ford Motor Company, Mercury Plant site located at 8900 E. Washington Boulevard in Pico Rivera; view is looking southeast. The plant, still under construction, is located on the corner of Rosemead Boulevard (horizontally, upper middle) and Washington Boulevard (vertically along left, but not visible from this angle). The 157-acre manufacturing facility was dedicated on May 6, 1948; the plant closed in 1980 and was purchased by Northrop Grumman in 1982. Photographed for J.H. Pomeroy on November 2, 1956.
