Description
Photograph shows a trestle, bridge, for the meter gauge logging railroad in Big Chico Creek Canyon. The railroad served the Providence Mill (Sierra Lumber Company). This trestle was 60 feet high with the footings placed 8 feet above the know high water mark, yet it was washed out by floods in February 1904.
