Description
Photograph of exterior of an unidentified lumber yard, December 1941.To the left, two low structures with sloping roofs can be seen. Several wooden beams can be seen supporting the base and roof, and the small structure is visible extending into the background. Within each of the structures, tall stacks of flat panels of wood can be seen. Looking at the small structure near the center of the image, three rows of large stacks of wood can be seen. To the left, a free-standing pile of chopped wood is visible. Another large stack of chopped wood can be seen near the center of the image in the background. To the far right of the image, a darkly-colored automobile can be seen. In the extreme background on the right, a large building can be seen. A man is barely visible near the base of the building standing near one of the wooden structures. To the left of the large building several utility poles and wires are visible. Behind the building, a large plume of smoke can be seen extending into the sky.
