This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "First car through Twin Peaks Tunnell [sic] February 3rd 1918." Photo shows San Francisco Municipal Railway Type B car #117 emerging from the west portal of the new Twin Peaks Tunnel. Mayor Rolph is at the controls; various supervisors and other dignitaries are riding the car. A crowd is on hand at the tunnel portal to welcome the car. A policeman is standing to the right.
