Sgt. Larry Nelson of Central Division shoplifting squad displays the simplest of all "booster tools," or the devices used by shoplifters to secretly carry off stolen articles. With Nelson, in a corner of the "Black Museum of Shoplifting" at headquarters of Stores Protective Association, is Carol Chitwood, one of the agency's record clerks. Photograph dated April 27, 1964.
