Julie Bishop, born Jacqueline Brown in 1914, was a child star under the name Jacqueline Wells; she switched names in 1941, and began a new career at Warner's as Julie Bishop. She also was credited as Diane Duval. Photograph caption dated December 19, 1955 reads, "Brig. Gen. Clarence A. Shoop and his wife, Actress Julie Bishop, unveil a bronze plaque honoring the late Billy Mitchell in ceremonies held at the 'Portal of Folded Wings,' Valhalla cemetery, in Burbank. It was the 52nd anniversary of the Wright brothers' historic flight. The Los Angeles City Council passed a resolution naming today as Billy Mitchell Day."
