The California Tremors" The Tremors started up in 1988 as an offshoot of the now defunct Bobcats organization. In 1988 the Tremors won the USSF National Championship by beating a New England-based Black & Tan squad led by Debbie Belkin and Carla DeSantis 3-0. For the Tremors it was Leslie Gallimore, Amy Allmann, Mary Harvey, Teresa Abrahamson, Brandi Chastain, Joy Biefeld, Carin Jennings-Gabarra, Valerie Pope, Tucka Healy and Karin Petersen. Since 1988 the Tremors have advanced to USSF national championship games, semi-finals and have won many tournaments.
