Description
A view of the pre-1990 rotunda of Central Library, showing the check out desks, reference desks, card catalog files, and murals on all the upper walls and ceiling. The murals were painted by Dean Cornwell, and the mosaic-like painted dome was done by Julian C. Garnsey. This entire area sustained some smoke damage during the fire that ravaged the upper levels of Central Library, April 29, 1986.
