Description
Members of the Herald Examiner's sports staff wish each other well after having heard the announcement of the newspaper's closure. From left to right, Steve Horn, Rick Arthur (seated), Tim Zimmerman, and Jeff Bosoir. The Herald Examiner newspaper came into being in 1962, after the morning Examiner, founded in 1903, merged with the evening Herald Express, dating back to around 1871. Photo dated: November 1, 1989.
