Description
Rev. J. W. Brier (right), his wife and son. They were members of the Jayhawker party, and he was the first Methodist minister in Los Angeles. During the ordeal, Mrs. Juliet Brier exhibited great strength in aiding her family, while her husband taught them the worth of education.
