207 N. Myrtle . Demolished c. 1920. Probably Mrs. Lawrence on porch. "Situated oN. Myrtle avenue, and at no great distance from the foothills, is the comfortable home of Geo. A. Lawrence, who is one of the town's earliest settlers. He has two acres of land, one half of which is set to the best variety of grapefruit, while the other contains oranges, lemons, peaches, apricots and other domestic fruits. Mr. Lawrence is one of Monrovia's most substantial businessmen, and has been for the past six years in the hardware business, carrying a most complete stock. He was twice chosen a member of the public and high School boards, and is particularly interested in School work." Monrovia Messenger Souvenir Edition 1897.
