Description
A close up of the main fireplace and accoutrements in the Augustin Bernal Adobe house, Rancho El Valle. This fireplace is gold painted wood and tile and was brought from Seville, Spain. Several items rest on the two levels of the mantel. These include a black elephant figurine flanked by two metal birds, a ceramic horse, candelabra, porcelain dish with flowers and a gold brim on a stand, framed photograph of two men and a dog in either fishing or hunting gear standing in front of a car, black vase, porcelain female clown figurine, and several other unidentified objects. To the left of the fireplace, a tapestry hangs on the wall behind a small wooden table and chair. To the right, a painting hangs behind a small table with a female bust, a high back chair, and a wooden armoire or cabinet with an art piece resting on it.
