Description
Photograph of a tall palm, planted by Mrs. Rosenfeldt, in front of a Riverside residence, ca.1900. The palm stands at center with thick, peeling bark along its narrow trunk and large leaves at its top. It stands at the center of a small plot of land sectioned off by a brick perimeter. The tree appears to mark the intersection of two streets
one which lies across the foreground and the other which lies on the right. Trees blanket the yard behind the palm and obstruct the view of the large, lightly-colored house at their center. The trees continue down the street on the right into the background.
