Photograph caption dated June 10, 1939 reads "Dorothy Lamour likes music in her life. The glamorous star who wears a sarong so nicely is shown when she bid good-by to Charles Barnett, orchestra leader, when he went east by American Airlines after a visit out here just to see her. She recently was divorced from Herbie Kay, also an orchestra leader. She's quiet about rumors of romance with Barnett, but--well, here's the picture."
