Photograph caption date stamped December 11, 1962 reads "Radio station KGIL named the above players to its 1962 Valley All-Star Football Team. From left to right (rear) are Don DeGroote, tackle, Grant; Ron Leahey, halfback, Canoga Park; Bill Hayhoe, end, Birmingham; Dudley Schusterick, quarterback, Birmingham; Mike Hornyak, guard, Poly; (second row) Mike Helwig, halfback, Taft; Willie Arias, quarterback, Poly; Doug Renn, end, Monroe; Don McSwain, guard, Birmingham; (third row) Paul Siegel, fullback, Grant; Steve Ramirez, tackle, Van Nuys, and (front) Mickey Erlich, halfback, Cleveland. Trophies were presented to the team by Town and Country Motors of Reseda. The automobile agency sponsored the team in conjunction with its weekend football radio programs over KGIL."
