Fire Station No. 89 located at 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd. was also the site of the Los Angeles Fire Department Training Academy.
Photograph caption dated April 18, 1960 reads, "Fireman J. J. Mullen Jr. goes up again after long fall into fireman's waiting net. No real flames pursued Mullen down. It was part of graduation ceremonies for Los Angeles firemen held at 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd., North Hollywood. Forty-three graduated from the eight-week training course."; See images #00112263 through #00112264 for all photos in this series.
