Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Description
Photo taken of Pedro del Gado. He was the Deputy Chief in charge of Supply and Maintenance and the Motorcycle Corps in the L.A. Police. He may have been the first Deputy Chief in the force. Pedro was from Mexico, and fled as a fugitive. Pedro was forced to leave the L.A. Police amidst charges of corruption and fraud along with the Chief of Police, the Mayor, and others. Pedro jumped bail and fled to Mexico where this photograph was taken.
