Photograph caption dated October 10, 1957 reads, "View of the new Rathbuns, following removal of frontal superstructure yesterday, as major phase of streamlining of front and expansion of store interior are completed. Store windows on extreme left feature numerous lighting innovations which enable customers to see merchandise in exact shades. New design of windows also affords customers clear view of store interior from street."
