Description
This 1996 photograph reveals the splendor of the Sacramento Room, the archives and research room of the Central Library at 828 I Street. All of the wood work in the room - done in Honduran Mahogany - was performed by Sacramento's Burnett and Sons planing mill. To the far right of the photograph are the original windows of the 1917 Andrew Carnegie-funded Central Library.
