Photograph caption dated October 3, 1962 reads "Ohio State's formidable Buckeyes open the 1962 football season for these and other UCLA Bruins at the Coliseum Saturday when the two schools play an intersection game. Up front in the thick of it will be Andy Von Sonn of Encino, the Bruin captain and center, shown centering ball, and John Walker of Reseda, given a pre-season rating as one of the finest guard prospects on the Coast."
