Photograph caption dated February 11, 1960 reads, "Blue and silver 150 Cessna flip-flopped and crashed in front of 12984 Garber St., Pacoima, today when its pilot, Howard Knapp, was making landing at Whiteman Airpark. Knapp said he was bound for Fox Field in Antelope Valley when air became bumpy and he returned to air field where plane was caught in cross-wind and crashed to ground on its back". Howard Knapp, a retired Oregon farmer, was injured in the plane crash. He was taken to the Sun Valley Receiving Hospital for treatment. One of two images used in the news article.
