Visible signs for businesses include "Hotel Santa Rita," "Petersen Motor Car Co. Used Automobiles, Martin Petersen," "Dolliver and Bro.," "Osann Sewing Machine Agent."
Title devised by cataloger; date devised by cataloger based on history of businesses in background; Los Angeles City directories indicate the Petersen Motor Car Co. moved from 1132 S. Main St. in 1929 to 1616 Washington in 1930, and the Hotel Santa Rita begins appearing at 1104 S. Main St. in 1929.
