Description
Photo of some of the damage caused by the 1915 volcanic eruption of Ms. Lassen. A wide, low area of rocky ground divides banks of trees near peaks near Mount Lassen. Three men stand near the base of an evergreen tree to the right. The notes on the reverse of the photo state: "The head of Lost Creek looking down (the) creek. This land was all covered (with) timber before the flood. Notice the tree at the right has (had) bark knocked off (twenty?) feet (above) the ground."
