Description
Photograph caption dated September 13, 1981 reads, "'No Diablo, no nukes,' chanted about 150 demonstrators as they marched up Ocean Front Walk yesterday in Venice in support of the anti-nuclear blockade of Diablo Canyon Nuclear Powerplant. Carying signs expressing opposition to the twin-reactor plant near San Luis Obispo, protesters attracted little attention as they proceeded to Canal Park for a rally. Police said demonstrators were orderly and did not tie up traffic."
